Apple has recently taken to upgrading some of their accessories, making separate and welcomed changes to their lightning cable and headphones. The Lightning cable now features a newer 0.5 meter version which surprisingly costs the same nineteen dollars as the original length model. Previously only a one meter lightning to USB cable was available to customers.
An interesting point to note though is that whereas the one meter lightning to USB cable is known to lack support for audio and video output, all such mention has been omitted from this newer half meter cable. Furthermore, this newer and shorter lightning to USB cable is not to be confused with the 0.5 meter Thunderbolt cable that the Cupertino Company released in January, which still costs in the range of twenty nine dollars.
The second modification affects Apple’s headphones, which now sports a rounder design for the remote. These latest In-Ear Headphones with Remote and Mic were first spotted in Apple’s United States online store for the and reportedly cost seventy nine dollars. What’s more, these headphones correspond with the remote accompanying Apple’s EarPods, which the Cupertino Company released in September last year.
