Apple fans are taking their love for their products to an entirely new level. In a new trend that has seen a remarkable increase this year, more and more parents have been naming their new-borns after an Apple product. Although this trend is not dominating the baby name lists yet, there has been a significant jump in the use of names such as Apple, Mac and Siri.

In fact the name Apple as a choice for a new baby girl has moved up a whopping fifteen per cent in popularity this year alone. The name Mac for baby boys has likewise seen a twelve per cent rise, while Siri has ascended five per cent in popularity.

While Apple could surely not have foreseen such a loyalty to their products, perhaps this trend will cause them to exercise greater care in choosing the names of their future releases.
