I have a 1st generation iphone where the bottom part of the screen isn't working. earlier i thought it was due to software error…but the unit resulted the same, upon upgrading to the latest firmware. Just wanted to be sure if it is a screen problem…if this problem could be solved, then what would be the cost? your kind assistance is very much appreciated

Mr Lim, my iphone was working fine untill i UPDATED a software not from itune application store but from the installer browser. The phone restarted only to have the apple logo appear and nothing else. I did try restarting the phone n reseting it by holding the power n home button but still the same thing happen
Can u fix this??
Plus how much does it cos to replace my iPhone batt??
